Many writers, psychologists, and artists have,
and continue to be a source of inspiration to me. Some of my key
sources are listed here, with links where they are available.
Philosophy & Psychology
I discovered the psychology of Gestalt 20
years ago when it spoke a deep truth to me. Gestalt carries within
it an ordinariness, re-discovering the lost beingness in
our culture of doing. Gestalt has taught me that in living
my life fully, in believing in myself, enhances whatever I want to
do - not the other way around.
British Gestalt Journal
The work of Carl Jung and
post Jungians have brought a greater depth into my understanding
of psychology and developed a language to understand our psychological
root systems.
The work of Marion Woodman focuses
on women and women's development with astounding insight. Working
with Ann skinner, a voice work and theatre teacher, & Mary Hamilton,
a dance teacher, they have combined their practices to achieve deep
personal development for many women internationally, over the past
25 years.
Marion Woodman's books are worth a read, I especially recommend Addiction
to Perfection
Marion Woodman Foundation.
The Arts
The inspirations of artist and art
teacher Betty Edwards who uses the principles of
art in corporate development.
William Ayot and David Whyte
... who bring their petry into corporate work. This poetry carries the lightest
touch and achieves the deepest insights.
